Dog Fecal Exam

Dog Urinalysis and Fecal Exam

Urinalysis is used for chronic and acute testing, to determine disease, infection, sediment, cells, debris, etc. Often a Urinalysis is run along with a blood panel for a complete picture of health.

Why are canine fecal examinations recommended yearly?

To determine if the pet has a parasite load and how heavy that load is, what types of parasites are present, so the doctor can treat accordingly.

If my dog’s urine test reveals a urinary tract infection, what can I do?

Your veterinarian will discuss the diagnosis with you, and the medications, or treatments needed. Always follow instructions on medications given. Allow pet unlimited access to fresh water and plenty of bathroom breaks.
