Dog X-ray and Ultrasound

The Campbell River Veterinary Hospital has digital x-ray for our clients. Digital x-ray limits the need for repeat x-rays and therefore minimizes radiation to your pet. Digital x-rays provide a clear picture for the vet to evaluate. We also can send our x-rays to a board-certified radiologist to review.

Blood Tests

Blood tests provide the veterinarians with an inside look at your dog’s overall health. Blood work is recommended and/or necessary before surgery to reduce the risk of a general anesthetic. Blood work is also used to monitor the body’s systems when on long-term medications.

Urinalysis and Fecal Exam

Urinalysis is used for chronic and acute testing, to determine disease, infection, sediment, cells, debris, etc. Often a Urinalysis is run along with a blood panel for a complete picture of health.
