What is pet euthanasia, and how do I know when it’s the right time?
You know your dog better than anyone. If you notice changes in their comfort, behaviour, or enjoyment of the activities they once loved, it may be time to discuss their quality of life with your veterinarian. We are here to listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and help you and your family determine the most compassionate next steps for your dog.
What can I expect during the euthanasia process?
Before beginning, your veterinarian will explain the process and answer any questions you may have. Your dog will receive medication to help them relax and feel comfortable. A catheter may then be placed to allow the veterinarian to administer the medication used during the procedure. Our team will guide you through each step with care and respect for you and your dog.
Can I stay with my dog during euthanasia?
Absolutely. You are welcome to stay with your dog throughout the process. We encourage you to spend as much time as you need saying goodbye and being close to your beloved companion.
